Last year, Google launched Play Points rewards program for Android users in Japan and South Korea. Now, after Japan and South Korea, the search giant launched the same in the United States.

The program gives rewards as points to the users if they download featured free apps and games as well as paid apps, games, books, and movies on the Playstore. Besides, there will be weekly events to increase the points. Google Play Points is divided into four tiers from bronze to Platinum, which will depend on how many points you have earned. Higher levels will get better rewards and will earn perks as weekly prizes.

The Play Points earned from the reward program can be redeemed to buy in-game items such as characters, gems, etc. in games like Candy Crush Saga and Pokémon GO. Google also noted that they are partnering with the developers of some of the top games and apps on Goole Play to implement it in-game. The points can also be used for Google Play Credit so that you can buy audiobooks or rent a movie. Even you can use it to help support a by donating causes and non-profits such as Doctors Without Borders USA, Save the Children, and the World Food Program USA.

Play Points program is free to join, which can be done via the Play Store on an Android device, and it will be available over next week. Moreover, you can earn three times the points on everything in the first week.
