Google has launched a SODAR tool to maintain social distancing for Android users

Google has recently launched a new tool that will help people in maintaining social distancing. The new tool is called SODAR and is available on Android devices. The SODAR tool will use the phone’s camera to visualize the around 2 metres of the user via Augmented Reality. The 2 metres of radius around the user will visualize in a White circle. 

The SODAR tool uses WebXR to visualize 2 metres social distancing guidelines around you.

How to use SODAR?

To use the SODAR tool, click on the link  https://sodar.withgoogle.com/ from Android phones, if you open this link in PC then just open your camera and scan the after opening the link. After launch the SODAR tool and allow the required permissions and point the camera at the ground. You have to point it down and move around. Once the tool finds the ground point, it will project a 2 metres circle around you and ensures the social distancing.
