Samsung, the South Korean company today announced an upgraded Galaxy Book Flex 2-in-1. The upgrade includes Intel’s latest 11th Gen Tiger Lake processor and 5G connectivity.
The company upgrades the laptop to meet Intel’s Evo platform standards, in which the laptop has to include Wi-Fi 6, Thunderbolt 4, 9 hours of battery on a single charge, and instant wake.
The Galaxy Book Flex 5G features a 13.3-inch FHD display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution. The Dimension of the laptop is 304.9×202.3×13.9~14.9mm and weighs around 1.29 Kg.
Under the hood, the laptop is powered by Intel’s latest 11th Gen Tiger Lake processor with two options- Core i5 and i7 and features Intel Iris Xe graphics.
The laptop has up to 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and 512GB NVMe SSD. The new laptop supports Wi-Fi 6, LTE, sub-6 GHz 5G, and Bluetooth 5.1 in terms of connectivity.
In terms of optics, Samsung has added a 13MP world-facing camera, the first time ever the company has added this to its laptop lineup. Upfront, there is a 720P HD camera for video calling.
In terms of I/O ports, the Galaxy Book Flex 5G includes a Thunderbolt 4 port, USB-C port, USB 3.0 port, HDMI port, 3.5mm headphone/mic jack, UFS & microSD slot, and SIM slot. The laptop has a fingerprint scanner for added security.
The laptop packs a 69.7Wh battery which will last at least 9 hours and supports fast charging.
The laptop comes with an S Pen, which will allow you to work on your creativity on digital painting apps.
The company hasn’t yet announced the pricing and availability of the new laptop but we expect that the company will soon reveal the details.
