Epic Games has now announced the next season of Fortnite Chapter 2. Chapter 2 was introduced with a new island and by following the previous Fortnite season’s end, where everything was sucked into a black-hole. In November, Epic mentioned it would extend the season to February since then it has been over three months, which also makes the current season the longest season in the battle royale’s history. The next season (Season 2) is scheduled for February 20.
However, Epic doesn’t provide much details about Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 but mentioned that there will be more overtime challenges along with a new two-week event before the current season ends. Apart from the next season start date, Epic also announced a major update is on the way, which will change the physics engine moving the game to Unreal Engine’s new Chaos physics engine with an update 11.50.
The update is scheduled for early February, and a developer of Epic Games states, “At launch, the goal is to ensure that Fortnite still feels like Fortnite. Along the way, there will be some bumps, so we’re starting tests with a small group of players. We’ll also closely monitor feedback and make improvements over time.”
