Recently Dell has announced the Latitude 7220 Rugged Extreme tablet, which is built to withstand challenging work environments such as occasional drop, extreme temperature between -20 and 145 degrees Fahrenheit. It is MIL-STD-810H tested for toughness, and IP65 rated, so it is dust and water-resistant. The Latitude 7220 Rugged Extreme tablet features an 11.6-inch improved 1000 nits 1080p display with anti-glare and anti-smudge coatings providing excellent readability in all conditions. It is powered by Intel’s Whiskey Lake processors up to Core i7-8665U at a clock speed of up to 4.8 GHz with up to 16GB LPDDR3 RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe NVMe SSD. For connectivity, it supports 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6.
The company has also included optional Snapdragon X20 4G LTE modem for cellular connectivity, a Windows Hello IR camera, and an optional fingerprint sensor with a wide range of ports. It also comes with optional hot-swappable batteries and a microSD card slot.
Moreover, the Latitude 7220 Rugged Extreme is compatible with a wide range of accessories, including vehicle dock and keyboard dock. The tablet is already available for purchase at a starting price of $1,900.
