Asus ZenFone 7 and ZenFone 7 Pro Launched with Snapdragon 865 and much more!

Two days ago today, we saw the leaked real-life images of the ZenFone 7 smartphone, along with its specifications. In response to that, Asus has finally launched its ZenFone 7 lineup today. Additionally, some of the information we saw in the leaks is similar to what we get on the official smartphone. So, without further ado, let’s talk about the ZenFone 7 and ZenFone 7 Pro specifications.

ZenFone 7 

First, let’s talk about design. The ZenFone 7 comes with a similar design to its predecessor (Asus 6Z). It features a bezel-less display and a motorized flip camera mechanism wrapped in an aluminum frame. Moreover, you get a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on this one.

Second, let’s talk about the display. The ZenFone 7 comes with a 6.67-inch 90Hz Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. In terms of protection, we get the Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on the front and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the back. Moreover, it also offers HDR10+ support.

Third, let’s talk about the camera. The ZenFone 7 features a triple camera setup, which includes a primary 64MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 12MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture. Since it’s a motorized flip camera module, it also works as a selfie camera.

Fourth, let’s talk about the internals. The ZenFone 7 comes with Snapdragon 865 chipset coupled with 6/8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The battery on this one is a massive 5000mAh battery with 30W fast charging and reverse charging. Asus claims that the 30W charger can charge your battery up to 60% in 34 minutes.

ZenFone 7 Pro

First, let’s talk about design. The ZenFone 7 Pro features an identical design as its predecessor with a full-screen bezel-less display at the front and motorized flip camera mechanism at the back. However, the flip camera mechanism is more prominent now with an additional sensor.

Second, let’s talk about the display. The ZenFone 7 Pro also comes with a 6.67-inch 90Hz Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9 ratio. It also features Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on the front and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the back in terms of protection. Moreover, it also offers support for HDR10+.

Third, let’s talk about the camera. The ZenFone 7 Pro comes with a triple flip camera at the rear, which includes a 64MP (f/1.8) Sony IMX686 sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. Furthermore, the telephoto lens also supports OIS and up to 12x digital zoom.

Fourth, let’s talk about the internals. The ZenFone 7 Pro comes with Snapdragon 865+ chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Meanwhile, the battery on this one is also a 5000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging and reverse charging. It also charges your smartphone up to 60% in 34 minutes.

Price and Availability

The ZenFone 7 is currently priced at NT$ 21,990 (Rs. 55,699) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. Meanwhile, the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at NT$ 23,990 (Rs. 60,799) in Taiwan.

The ZenFone 7 Pro comes with a single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, and it is priced at NT$ 27,990 (Rs. 70,899) in Taiwan.
