For a gaming user, many things are required to make an impressive gaming laptop. But even after all those powerful things being embedded into a laptop, it might still not be enough through a gamer’s point of view. Asus understands what a gamer needs in a gaming laptop, which is why they have announced the ROG Zephyrus Duo 15, a gaming laptop, which features a secondary screen above the keyboard.
According to Asus, the ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 is the first dual-screen laptop that is specifically designed for gaming. The company has also made some other secondary screen laptops in the past, such as the Zenbook Pro Duo, and Zenbook Duo.
However, people will start asking soon what is so special about the secondary screen of the Zephyrus Duo 15? even Zenbook Duo has a secondary screen. Actually, the secondary screen of the Zephyrus Duo 15 is not glued to the chassis. It comes with a custom hinge to prop-up the display at a 13-degree angle, which makes it easier for a user to interact with your setting panes, Twitch chats, and much more stuff.
ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 Configurations
The Zephyrus Duo 15 gaming laptop comes with a Pantone-calibrated 15.6-inch primary display, which offers you to choose between a 4K UHD panel with a 60Hz refresh rate or a Full-HD panel with a 300Hz refresh rate.
As for the secondary display, it comes with a 14.1-inch UHD IPS secondary display with a resolution of 3840 x 1100 and a refresh rate of 60Hz. The secondary display is also a touchscreen display. The screen’s top edge lifts off the deck to brace it up at a 13-degree angle, which makes both the display appear comfortably in your field of view while using the laptop.
According to Asus,
Tilting the touchscreen at an angle opens a larger 28.5 mm air intake, and allows the fans to draw in cooler air from above the laptop (under the raised secondary display) instead of warmer air from beneath it.
Talking about the internals, the Zephyrus Duo 15 (expensive model or higher-end variant) comes with an 8-core 10th-Gen Comet Lake Intel Core-i9 processor coupled with 32GB of RAM and 2TB of storage (RAID).
