TF securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, has discharged an investor note announcing Apple’s upcoming tablet plans for this year and also the next year. The investor note reveals that Apple will announce its new 10.8-inch iPad in the second half of the year 2020. Moreover, there will also be an 8.5-inch iPad Mini in the year 2021. However, Kuo has not clarified whether the 10.8-inch iPad will be a new iPad Air or an upgrade to the standard iPad lineup.
Currently, Apple’s iPad lineup comprises of a standard 10.2 inch iPad, a bigger 10.5-inch iPad Air, and a small 7.9-inch iPad Mini. So, if the Cupertino giant increases the size of the standard iPad from 10.2 inches to 10.8-inches, it will be bigger than the iPad Air and would trespass upon iPad Pro’s region.
Also, a new note to investors seen by AppleInsider repeats those claims, further sealing Kuo’s beliefs on the sizes and the scheduling of the upcoming models. Kuo’s comments have been made in the middle of other supply chain rumblings in June about iPad. Including, a report that locks on to the late-2020 scheduling for the upcoming 10.8-inch iPad and the iPad Mini.
However, there is no official confirmation about the following information from Apple. So, we advise you guys to take this information as a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more updates. Still, Kuo’s predictions are usually pretty accurate.
