If you don’t know, Apple is planning to launch a low-cost iPhone in 2020 before its huge WWDC 2020 event. Currently, there are no exact details available about which smartphone model Apple is thinking to launch, but a recent report suggests that it could be the iPhone SE 2.
However, there is no confirmation from the company yet, but if the report is true, then the company might launch the iPhone on the 31st March 2020 event. The timing seems reasonable as the previous launch from the company was earlier than they rumored to be to capture the attention of the market, as expected for the flagship iPhone series extending out till the second half of the year.
The original iPhone SE model was launched at a similar time back in 2016. Apple launched it at that time in order to maintain the spotlight of the handset in comparison to its bigger and better variants at WWDC. The iPhone SE is basically a smaller and more affordable version of a regular iPhone.
Moreover, it has also been reported that the next Apple launch will have the device being sold as early as 3rd April 2020. Despite that, some other details have also emerged, which includes its $399 price tag and Apple’s own A13 SoC that also functions in the iPhone 11 series. But since its a budget device, the company may use cheaper display or might even reuse the iPhone 8 design.
So if you are someone who wants to use an iOS device at a cheaper cost, this model is for you. But, since these are all rumors and unconfirmed reports, all we can do is wait for Apple to announce it on its WWDC event 2020. Stay tuned for more updates.
