Recently 9to5Mac has discovered that Apple Inc. is secretly working on a 5.5-inched iPhone 9 Plus/iPhone SE 2, and for confirming his theory, he has also found a piece of evidence through an iOS 14 code. The report suggests the idea of Apple trying to update its existing lineup of standard-sized iPhones with the Plus variants, and this new iPhone marks the beginning of this new idea by the company.
If you are not up to date about this new report, the upcoming iPhone 9 Plus/iPhone SE 2 will sport the A13 Bionic chipset by Apple Inc. that we have previously seen with the iPhone 11 series. This latest offering by the company will be slightly different from the others as the upcoming iPhone will have Touch ID (Biometric Scanning) instead of the traditional Face ID, and this fact was given by a reputable Apple analyst Mr. Ming-Chi Kuo.
Speaking of NFC and payment methods, the iPhone 9 Plus/iPhone SE 2 will be able to scan NFC tags in the background, support Apple Pay and Express Transit. The express transit feature makes payment hassle-free as it does not require any authentication from the Face ID or the Touch ID.
Talking about the expected variants of the iPhone 9 Plus/iPhone SE 2, it will most probably be available with 128GB of storage and 3GB LPDDR4X RAM. Speaking of price, the Kuo suggested that it will be priced at roughly $399 i.e., around Rs. 28,000.
The launch for this iPhone was expected in March, but due to the Corona Virus Outbreak, it was postponed. Well, Apple has not yet confirmed any of these reports, so our advice to the viewers is to take this news with a pinch of salt.
