After several Beta releases and Developer previews, Google has officially launched the Android 11 version. In its recent blog post, Google said that this time the latest version is not only coming for Pixel devices but a variety of smartphones. Some newer models from Xiaomi, Realme, and OnePlus will also receive the latest update. So, let’s talk about the newest update in a little bit of detail.
We have already talked about all the features of Android 11 in our previous articles before, so without further ado, let’s talk about the critical items of Android 11. The new version comes with several tweaks that provide you a delightful experience when you use your device. One of the main features comes in the notification section, where you get a handy conversation section in the drop-down notification shade, instead of regular messaging.
Other features include new Chat Bubbles, new media controls, built-in screen recording, a new screenshot UI, smart home control features, and more coarse control over security and privacy. Although some more recent models will get this update, Pixel users still get some first-features, though.
Pixel users can use Live view with Location Sharing in Maps to see where your friends are, just like Find My on iOS. There’s also a Smart Reply feature on the Pixel keyboard, but it’s English only and on Gboard only.
So, the final version of the Android 11 is available for Pixel 2, Pixel 3, Pixel 3a, Pixel 4, and Pixel 4a. Apart from Pixel devices, OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will also get this update in Europe, India, and North America regions. Moreover, some other smartphones that will receive the update are Oppo X2, Reno 3, Realme X50 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 10, and Mi 10 Pro.
