Smart Reply

Smart Reply is now a system-level feature and available into Android. With this feature, Android will suggest automatic responses like Gmail and Messages. In Android 10 users will also get recommended actions. For example, if a friend asks you out to dinner, your phone will suggest you text “👍🏻” and if that friend also provided with some address that will pull up direction on Google Maps. This feature works on messaging apps like WhatsApp, etc., even with the Signal app.

Privacy is one of the most important updates which the user will see. Users can control their privacy. Check below for what users can do with the privacy:

  • Find and adjust all their privacy settings in one place.
  • Decide what data is stored, like their Web & App activity and for how long.
  • Can control when your location is shared with apps: all the time, while in use, or never.
  • Can Opt-out of ad retargeting and personalization.

For delivering key security and privacy updates faster without the need for full OS updates, Google introduced Project Mainline with Android 10.
